Jamestown  (JPD Jamestown Police reported Sunday that the search continues for a person of interest being sought in connection with Saturday’s suspicious fire reported about 3-p.m. at 1012 2nd Ave. Northwest, north of Nickeus Park  in Northwest Jamestown.

The person  being sought is considered dangerous with mental health and drug issues.

The male person of interest is 20-30 yrs old, has brown eyes, and crew cut brown hair. Police estimate he is 5-08 to 6-00 tall, with a slender build.  Authorities  say he was last seen Saturday afternoon, reportedly in black clothing and exhibiting signs of mental health issues.

The suspect is believed  to have broken into a residence before fleeing from law enforcement and was actively evading the police as of Saturday p.m.

Police urge residents to lock up houses and garages, and making sure keys and valuables are not left in vehicles, and be aware of anyone that looks suspicious around your property.

Do not approach anyone and call police.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

At the scene of the fire, Saturday, no injuries were reported to firefighters.

Four city fire units were on the scene for about an hour.

Jamestown  (CSi, VNL)  Jamestown Police reports that it’s looking for what it terms  a “dangerous individual” after a garage fire occurred Saturday afternoon, about 3-p.m. at 1012 2nd Ave. Northwest, north of Nickeus Park, the garage is the only structure on the property.

City Fire Chief Jim Reuther reports,  the fire started outside of the one-stall garage that was extensively damaged, with the fire termed suspicious,  and is under investigation.

The Jamestown Police Department is asking for the public’s  help in locating a dangerous individual for an ongoing arson investigation.  Report to police anything suspicious concerning their garages or sheds.
KVLY reports that Officials say the suspect is male, 20-30 yrs old, has brown eyes, and crew cut brown hair. Police estimate he is 5-08 to 6-00 tall, has a slender build, and possibly has blood on face and hands. Officials say he is reportedly in black clothing and exhibiting signs of mental health issues.
