Oakes, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jun 25, 2013) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a 37-year-old Oakes woman died Tuesday (Jun 25, 213) following an accident near the intersection of North Dakota Highways One and Eleven, two miles south of Oakes at about 9-a.m.
The report says a pickup and a semi-trailer rig were involved in the accident.
The report says the pickup operated by 37 year old Liesa M. Hill of Oakes was hit on the passenger side by a northbound semi-trailer, as she was turning left into her place of business.
She was not wearing a safety restraint.
The driver of the semi-trailer rig was identified as 28 year old Erick Taylor of Britton, South Dakota.
He was not injured.
The Patrol says, he northbound lane of Highway One near the scene was blocked for a few hours while crews removed debris.
Assisting the NDHP were: The Oakes Police Department, Dickey County Sheriff”s Office, Sargent County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oakes Fire Department.
