Jamestown, ND KCSi-T.V. News (Jul 5, 2013) — The South East Region of the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be saturating Cass County and Stutsman County during the evening and overnight hours on July 8th, 2013 through July 14th, 2013. Extra Troopers will be on duty patrolling both areas in an effort to deter and arrest impaired drivers.

Impaired drivers are a threat to the safety of all motorists. Sixty-Seven people have died in traffic crashes on North Dakota roadways in 2013. Twenty-five people have died in alcohol-related crashes. Saturation Patrols are an important enforcement tool along with a strong public education effort aimed at reducing alcohol-related crashes.

The primary purpose of this saturation event is to deter the deadly practice of drinking and driving.
