SEWARD, Neb. (UJ) — The University of Jamestown women’s 4 x 400 meter relay team ran a season best Friday, taking fourth place at the Concordia Twilight meet, hosted by Concordia University.
The team of Anni Stier (SO/Rugby, N.D.), Jordynn Toliver (SO/Box Elder, S.D.), Meghan Orr (SR/Ypsilanti, N.D.), and Naja Whitehead (SO/Tacoma, Wash.) ran a time of 4 minutes, 4.54 seconds.
In the 400 meter hurdles, Orr turned in a personal-best time of 1:04.85 to place fifth, while Stier also set a personal best of 1:06.74 to take sixth.
Toliver had a pair of sixth-place finishes, throwing the javelin 33.39 meters and hitting a mark of 5.35 meters in the long jump.
For the men, Darien Hauf (SO/Makoti, N.D.) took sixth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.13 seconds, marking a new personal record, and also finished 10th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.55.
Nik Herman (SR/Glasgow, Mont.) was seventh in the javelin with a top throw of 46.16 meters.
Braeden Knutson (SO/Casselton, N.D.) took eighth in the 400 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 57.56 seconds, and also set new personal records in the 100 meter dash (11.41) and 200 meter dash (23.44).
