MINUTES – DRAFT
Planning Commission – July 8, 2013 – 8:00 a.m.
Present: Hillerud, Trautman, Trefz, Bergquist, Bensch, Ritter, Johnson, Bayer, Kourajian, Klundt, Reuther, Wollan, Harty, Schwartzkopf
Absent: Tressler
- Chairman Hillerud opened the meeting. Commission member Trefz made a motion to approve the minutes from the June 10, 2013 regular Planning Commission meeting. Seconded by Bergquist. Unanimous aye vote. Motion Carried.
- Stephanie Falkers, of SRF consulting gave the staff report relating to the Final plat of Walicski’s Third Extension, A Re-plat of Lots 7-11 of Meland Second Addition together with part of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, T140N, R64W, City of Jamestown, Stutsman County, North Dakota.
A motion to accept the findings of staff and recommend approval of the final plat of Walicski’s Third Extension as it meets the requirements of Section 9 of Appendix B was made by Commission member Bensch. The motion was seconded by Commission member Ritter. Secretary Wollan called the roll. Unanimous aye vote. Motion Carried.
- Informational:
- SRF Consulting Group, Inc. presentation relating to Planning Commission Applications and Processing Cycle.
Stephanie Falkers, of SRF Consulting, Inc. gave a presentation relating to the application processing. The applications will be posted online and a public notice will be published shortly. Chairman Trefz asked if there will be more ways to inform people of the changes. Stephanie and Secretary Wollan are working on an email list of developers, engineering firms, etc. The City website will have the Request for Zone Change and Request for Plat application available as a fillable online form and will include a timeline and calendar of processes for both of the applications.
- Chairman Hillerud and the Planning Commission welcomed Corey Bayer who took the place of Chuck Purdy. Chairman Hillerud requested a letter of thanks be sent to Mr. Purdy.
Commission member Bayer stated he looks forward to being involved with the growth of the City of Jamestown and working with the Planning Commission.
- A motion to adjourn was made by Commission member Trefz, seconded by Commission member Trautman. Meeting adjourned.
