aauwlogo2Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jul 9, 2013) — The Jamestown Branch of the American Association of University Women will host its 24th Jamestown Garden Tour from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday July 17, 2013.

Proceeds from the garden tour support the AAUW Educational Foundation, The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund and the AAUW Endowment Fund at Jamestown College.

This year the featured gardens include those of: Robert and Sue Carlson, 705 17th St. SE; Caryn Claflin, 404 4th Ave SE; Sandy Eckelberg, 229 18th Ave. NE; and Harley and Jaci Trefz, 709 17th St. SE.

Advance tickets through Tuesday are $8 and will be available to purchase at The Arts Center; Country Gardens Floral, Don’s House of Flowers at Seventh Avenue Southeast and also at the Buffalo Mall; Don’s Garden Shop on Business Loop East; Lloyds Toyota, The Garden Gate and all AAUW members. After 4 p.m. on tour day, tickets will only be available at The Arts Center and at each tour site during tour hours at $10.

Refreshments will be served at The Arts Center, 115 Second St. SW, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. All who turn in their tour tickets there or at their last tour site, will be eligible for door prizes.

Proceeds from the garden tour support the AAUW Educational Foundation, The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund and the AAUW Endowment Fund at Jamestown College, which has two scholarships available for “older than average,” students.
