Jamestown Jamestown’s Meghan Ford has been named the Senior Athlete of the Year.
On Friday the Blue Jays girls track team finished in second place in the West Region Meet.
Ford took first place in the 1600 and 3200 meter races, running under five minutes in the 1600 at 4:57.32 and a 10:41.73 in the 3200, a full minute better than second place. 7th grader Brooklyn Nygaard qualified for state by taking fourth in the 3200.

Ben Anteau took the West Region title in the 3200 meter run with a time of 9:08.36. His time broke the1984 outdoor school record set by Jeff Dick4 and is the third best time in state history.
