Valley City  (CSi)  The Bridges Arts Council in Valley City, is excited to announce the start of a new project, a mural located in City Park next to the scenic Sheyenne River in Valley City.

Spokesman Nick Lee says the renovated City Park bandshell is the home of the “Music in the Park” concert and that was the reason for the selection of the Valley City Parks and Recreation building in City Park as the site for the future mural. He adds the east side, park side of the building will be  where the mural is located,  featuring some references to the historical aspects of the park.

Lee said there will be spots available to have your caricature included in the mural to help defray the cost of the project. The cost is $150 for inclusion in the mural.  For more details or to reserve a spot, please email Bridges Arts Council Arts Administrator, Nick Lee, at administrator@bridgesart.org   Spots need to be paid by June 15.
