News Jul 13, 2013)– Valley City and area law enforcement authorities responded at approximately 4:40pm Saturday evening  as  police blocked off Chautauqua Boulevard and a portion of 6th Avenue Northeast, in Valley City,  and a swat team was gearing up to make entry into a Valley City home searching for a man who violated a restraining order on Friday, July 12, 2013.

As a precaution, the Jamestown/Valley City/Stutsman County/Barnes County Special Operations Team (SOT) responded to 649 8th Street Northeast, to assist with determining if Lynn Daniel Kouba was  inside the residence, with a cache of firearms.

When the SOT, arrived on scene, and after receiving permission from  his estranged significant other, Tamara R. Hocking to check the residence, the SOT entered and cleared the residence, ensuring that Kouba was not inside.  The residence was then released to Hocking around 9pm Saturday.

  No one was injured.
