Jamestown, ND KCSi-T.V. News Jul 15, 2013) — The North Dakota Highway P
atrol reports, a Jamestown man was injured in a crash Sunday about 5:40-p.m.,
86 year old Wesley Hart, was operating his car east on Interstate 94 near mile marker 243 about 13 miles west of Jamestown.
Hart was en route to Jamestown, coming from a picnic north of Medina.
He said he believed he fell asleep while driving and ran off the roadway into the median. striking a cement culvert with the front of his vehicle, before he corrected back onto the eastbound lane of travel, where the vehicle spun out.
Hart’s vehicle came to rest in the left lane of the eastbound lane of travel.
Hart was transported by ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
The report said he was wearing a seat belt, and airbags in the vehicle had deployed.
The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
