UND Extends Jones’ Contract

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP Jul 15, 2013) – The University of North Dakota has extended the contract of men’s basketball coach Brian Jones through the 2016-17 season.
 
  Jones’ base salary will go from $86,334 to $100,000.
 
     UND Athletic Director Brian Faison says in a statement that Jones “has a clear blueprint for this program and the results are showing.”
 
     Jones led UND to a 12-8 record in the Big Sky Conference last season – the most wins ever by a league newcomer.
