Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jul 16, 2013) — At Monday’s meeting,the Jamestown Public School Board selected a new president and vice president.

Roger Haut was elected to succeed Roy Musland as president, and Diane Hanson was elected to succeed Tanya Ostlie as vice president.

There were no other nominations for the positions.

Musland said he would not re-run for president if someone else was interested in the position.

Earlier in the meeting, the school board discussed the idea of having a rotating presidency with an acting past president, president and president-elect.

Superintendent Robert Lech said he wasn’t aware of any school boards in North Dakota with a rotating presidency, however he was not opposed to the School Board’s discussion of it.

In other business the school board reappointed Sally Ost as business manager.

and approved hiring JR (Lloyd) Wilson as a middle school/high school teacher.

The school board had the first reading of a draft on a new adoption policy, and approved enrollment of some students from outside the district requesting to attend Jamestown Public Schools.
