Oakes (NDHP) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that about 11:48 a.m., Saturday, 2005 and 1985 Harley Davidson Motorcycles were involved in a rear end collision, on Highway 1, fives miles north of Oakes.
The 1985 Harley Davidson Motorcycle operated by 48 year old, Jessey Hager of Brainerd, MN and 2005 Harley Davidson Motorcycle
operated by 33 year old Brandon Bohne, of Baxter, MN were traveling southbound on Highway 1 around 60 mph. Both drivers began to slow as a dog was heading toward the roadway. Bohne’s vehicle didn’t slow as fast as Hager’s.
Bohne’s vehicle struck the back of Hager’s. The bikes separated with Hager’s vehicle sliding on its side and the driver being removed from his bike.
Bohne’s vehicle was able to stay upright and come to a stop. Both drivers were transported to Oakes hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Agencies Involved: NDHP, Dickey County SO, Oakes Ambulance, Oakes PD, Oakes Fire and Rescue.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
