Jamestown (NDHP) The ND Highway Patrol reports, 63 year old Richard LeFevre of Jamestown, died in a two vehicle accident Tuesday, Nov 16, about 5:16 pm on U.S. Highway 52 about 2 miles north of Jamestown.
Highway Patrol Sgt. Ben Kennelly said LeFevre was driving a 2003 Buick Century westbound on 32nd Street Southeast and approached an intersection at Highway 52, while 35 year old Aubrey Wock, of Buchanan, was driving a 2009 Toyota Venza with two juvenile passengers, a male and female, northbound on Highway 52 in the right lane.
The Buick attempted to cross Highway 52 in order to travel southbound and was struck by the Toyota on the driver side. Both vehicles continued northwest into the median with the Buick coming to rest facing north and the Toyota facing northwest.
Wock and the two juveniles were transported by Jamestown Area Ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center and treated for non life-threatening injuries. Richard LeFevre, the driver of the Buick was pronounced deceased at the scene.
He was wearing a seat belt.
The occupants of the Toyota all used restraints, the driver was wearing a seat belt, and the airbag was deployed. The Juveniles were restrained in car seats.
Assisting at the scene were, the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Ambulance, and Jamestown Police.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
