Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Jul 30, 2013) — Negotiations between the Jamestown Public School Board and the Jamestown Education Association have stalled.
At Monday evening’s negotiations, the School Board stayed at its final offer at a 4 percent salary increase for both the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years.
JEA decreased its salary request to a 4.25 percent increase for the 2013-2014 school year and a 4.5 percent increase for 2014-2015. The School Board held its previous offer of 4 percent both years.
Having made the last two moves in negotiation, JEA representatives asked the School Board to make a move at Monday’s meeting.
Public school board President, Roger Haut said, “We are at our last best offer.”
The School Board will recommend Superintendent Robert Lech seek fact finders.
