Valley City  (VCPD)  Police Chief Phil Hatcher, says two stolen cars were recently recovered in Valley City.

He reports a Parking Control Officer who was working to get snow covered vehicles marked,  ran a license plate check, and found that the vehicle was stolen from Fargo. He said the stolen vehicle may have been parked sometime over this past weekend in the 700 Block of 6th Street Southwest. He says the investigation is open at this time, and he’s urging residents to keep their vehicles locked.

In the second case, Hatcher says officers responded to a stolen vehicle complaint from a resident in the 1500 block of East Main Street Tuesday morning. He says a vehicle was stolen from an open garage with the keys left in the vehicle, and it was recovered a short time later at I-94 east of Valley City.
