Windy with a wintery mix of freezing rain and snow expected Thurs Night and Friday

A clipper system will track across the Northern Plains late
tonight and Friday bringing a wintry mix of mainly light freezing
rain and light snow to all of western and central North Dakota.
Strong northwest winds will also develop Friday producing patchy
blowing snow. Precipitation is expected to end in the west by
early Friday afternoon and across central North Dakota by early
evening.

At this time it looks like snow amounts and freezing rain amounts
will be light. However, even small amounts of freezing rain can
quickly make travel hazardous. If you do have travel plans late
tonight or Friday, be sure to check the latest forecast and
weather conditions at www.weather.gov/bis.
