Washington-South-300x202Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Aug 5, 2013) — The new Southwest water storage tank and associated force main project is progressing on time.

On Monday’s (Aug 5, 2013) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Jamestown Mayor Katie Andersen said, the footings for the tower have been placed and a the trench for the force main, to supply water to the elevated tank is in the process of being dug. (a portion of the trench digging can be seen near the Jamestown Wal-Mart.

WaterTowerCUThe tower is expected to be up and supplying water to southwest Jamestown later this year, and the tower will be painted next spring.

She added that the Jamestown sanitary sewer project is progressing as well, and contractors are in touch with the principal and staff of Washington Elementary School on 4th Avenue, Northwest, as the work there is expected to be finished and the street repaved in plenty of time for the first day of school later this month.
