Lori Wegleitner, 65, Jamestown, ND passed away Thursday evening February 24, 2022 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
Lori Johnson (Wegleitner) was born February 2, 1957 at Rolette, ND hospital. The daughter of Edwin and Beverlee (Picard) Johnson. She was the sixth of eight children, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Anyone that knew Lori understood she was grounded in who she was and unapologetic to the end. She loved to laugh and when she did it was with her entire body. It was infectious and even if you were in the worst mood it would brighten your day. Lori’s family was her world and if you were in her circle she would drop anything to help. She could be sternly honest, yet gentle at the same time. As long as her children and grandchildren were near she was content.
Lori loved to play card games, listen to music, weekend trips with her daughters, watch comedy shows, and dance with her kids and grandkids in the living room. She was the neighborhood mom that all the kids in town would congregate to get snacks, have water balloon fights, play yard games, or just get motherly advice.
Lori’s legacy lives on through her children, Sheri (Tyrone) Rosenau; Traci (Alan) Rinehart; Cory (Dalonna) Wegleitner; Kristi (Jason) Anderson; Kyle Wegleitner, all of Jamestown, ND; 15 grandchildren who refer to her as “Nana”, Nolan, Lukas, Kohl, Tyler, Francesca, Rourke, Jacob, Alexia, Gage, Jax, Colton, Tatem, Eylie, Aubrey, & Easton; 5 sisters, Dale (Russell) Guderjahn; Vickie Smith; Hope (Jim) Welch; Jan Houle; and Tami Thomas.
Lori was greeted to her heavenly home by her parents, 3 brother-in-laws, daughter Tara Lee, grandson Brayden, and 2 brothers, Paul Johnson and Lee Johnson.
