Jeralyn Diane Olson was born May 13,1943 in Valley City, ND. She attended elementary and high school in valley city, graduating in 1961 from VCHS. She attended NDSSS and obtained her LPN degree. She married Lawrence Behm on October 25 1963. She worked at Mercy Hospital for 35 years. Most of those years were in the OB dept where she took care of many babies over the years. She so loved those babies. She was very active in the Eagles, both at the local level and state level. She was State Madam President in 2013-2014. Jeri and Lorny traveled to many State conventions and National Eagles conventions all over the US. She enjoyed her Tuesday morning coffee group and she LOVED to shop. She was always buying “treasures” for her grandkids and great grandkids. Her greatest joy were her children and grandchildren. Jeri and Lorny were huge supporters of all their grandkids sporting events. They traveled many miles across the state to watch them play. Jeri loved to take pictures at all family get togethers, if you didn’t want your picture taken, too bad because you were getting your picture taken!!
Jeri is survived by her husband Lorny of 58 years; her children, Larry(Aneica) Behm, Beulah, Laura (Steve) VanAsperen, Ypsilanti and Lynette (Russ) Stephens, Valley City; her grandchildren, Lindsey(Matt) Mitzel, Dickinson, Joe(Lacey)Worrel, Adrian, Nicole (Justin) Behm, Velva, Garrett VanAsperen, Ypsilanti, Logan (Maci) Behm, Beulah, Nate Rodriguez, and Blake Stephens, both Valley City; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Gauge Mitzel, Hallie and Reed Worrel and Tenley Behm
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Leatrice and Olaf Torgerson and in-laws Adolf and Laura Behm.
The family prefers memorials to Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
