2013 FALL COMPETITIVE SOCCER TRAINING
FOCUS: JSC Competitive training programs teach soccer at a more advanced level than our larger and more traditional Recreational Soccer programs. Our competitive level coaches will team-coach to train and develop participants for competitive soccer play, whether they just started or have been in our programs for years. Players will be grouped by age and skill and exposed to multiple coaches to experience a greater variety of training methods and games.
Our fall season is focused on technical skills, player development, and fun. We incorporate many small sided games for skill development. NEW this season, we will conduct detailed player evaluations to let players know how they are doing technically, tactically, physically, and psychologically. These evaluations will help players focus their training on areas of their game that will give them the most improvement.
Other competitive programs in North Dakota also use the fall season for training. Accordingly, we do not promise traveling games with other clubs during this season, although such games are possible.
SEASON DATES: September 3 to October 19 (7 weeks)
PRACTICES: Players will practice two weeknight evenings per week based on coaches’ schedules
GAME DAYS: Blue vs. Gray Competitive Scrimmages at Hillcrest on September 22, 29, and October 13
AGES: 8-15 (exceptions with approval)
COST: $70 by 31 August, $90 after for returning Competitive/Academy players. 25% second child/program discount.
COACHES: Licensed and trained—supervised by JSC Director of Coaching Donovan Gibson
TOURNAMENTS: A couple of U10-14 regional tournaments are available if there is enough interest at any given age level to form a tournament team. Cost is $50/player extra to cover tournament fee and coach travel.
UNIFORM: Uniform is optional for Fall Competitive training given that most Fall games will be within our program. Access our website to order online.
