Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News)  —  Valley City Police Chief, Fred Thompson says, police officers will respond to addresses, from where 9-1-1 call originate.

He told the Valley City Commission, that previously authorities did not respond if the call indicated that assistance was not needed.

Chief Thompson added that police will err on the side of caution, and make a visit to the location of the call, to make sure everything is okay.
