Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Sept 4, 2013) — The Jamestown Rescue Squad was called to a vehicle extracation about 7:50-a.m., Wednesday at 10th Avenue Northeast and 16 1/2 Street Northeast.
Jamestown City Fire Chief Jim Reuther said, no other damages outside of the vehicles were reported.
Eight fire fighters were on the scene until about 8:23 a.m.
Jamestown Police say, 18 year old Brittany O’Neill, was driving a 2001 Ford pickup south on 10th Avenue approaching the intersection with 16 1/2 Street.
A Ford car, driven by 18 year old Emily Suckow, of Jamestown, was struck by the vehicle driven by O’Neill. Suckow and her 17-year-old male passenger were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center
The police say the fire department used the “Jaws of Life” to remove one of the juvenile passengers out of the car. The driver and a passenger removed from the car were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center by Jamestown Area Ambulance Service.
O’Neill reported an injury but declined treatment.
O’Neill was cited for failed to yield.
Damage was estimated at $5,000 to the Ford truck and the car was totaled.
