Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — Patriot’s Day this year was commemorated locally on Thursday, September 12.  Charlie Kourajian, Chairman of the Jamestown Patriotic Council says,  “This will be the 12th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country. The tragic events of September 11, twelve years ago, are constant reminders what can happen in our country if we are not vigilant”

Patriots Day featured a “Freedom Walk” in downtown Jamestown at 6 p.m. to commemorate the events of that day and to honor our first responders in our community. We encourage people of all ages to walk the short distance with us, or ride if walking is not possible.

The walk started with the playing of the National Anthem and the pledge to the flag and then proceeded around downtown. After the short walk the Vets Club served a free will offering spaghetti supper to all present, followed by a short program.
