Todd Paul Goter was born in Jamestown, ND on February 8, 1970 to parents, Siemen and Deloris (Pulst) Goter. He graduated from the Meyer School of Broadcasting on February 26, 1988, just prior to graduating from High School in Velva, ND in May 1988. He went on to marry Shari Monge on November 21, 1992. They would have one daughter together, Ashley. He would later marry Shelley Guthmiller. After many years of marriage, they would divorce.

Todd loved music, it was a passion and a way of life for him. He worked in the industry in one way or another his entire life, having T-N-T music while in high school, Dynamite Productions alongside his brother, and working at K-Hit radio in Minot, ND and later for Ingestad’s Family Media in Jamestown, ND. He was also a part of the Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s Department as well as worked at the James River Correctional Center for 15 years.

Todd was known by his radio personality Scott Shannon, but to so many others he was Goatboy. To his family he was a brother, son, father, and grandpa, but most importantly he was a friend. He touched the lives of all the people he met, and he loved to entertain whether through his music or through his jokes, he just wanted to make people laugh.

He was such a proud grandpa and loved his family. He adored his cats, motorcycles, cars, music, and movies. He enjoyed attending concerts and while working through radio he was able to interview many of those artists he looked up to.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Sam) Gray, grandson, Izaac Gray, granddaughter, Adleigh, his parents, Deloris (Mel) Weisenberger, brother, Darin (Bev) Goter, sister, Jennifer (Tony) Spatola, nephews, Cullen Goter, Kade Wanzek, and Owen Spatola, nieces, Kelsey and Kaitlyn Goter, Mattea and Leah Wanzek, and Mady Spatola. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Kevin.

He is preceded in death by his father, Siemen Goter, grandparents, Louis and May Pulst and Ernest and Elsie Goter, and a niece, McKenna Spatola.

In order to honor the many friendships Todd had he will have honorary pallbearers to include: Lance Opperude, Scott Jensen, Ted Schlepuetz, Cullen Goter, Kade Wanzek, Owen Spatola, Kevin Whitney, Patrick Dunwoody, Chris Jung, and Corey Bayer. Although, they will not be able to carry him to his final resting place they will help us to carry the many, many memories in our hearts.
