2nd St SW is now closed from 3rd Ave SW to the river. Drivers need to use detour to 1st St West bridge to access the Klaus Park area of SW Jamestown. A detour is in place on 1st St SW.
Jamestown, ND KCSi-T.V. News Sept 17, 2013) – Interstate Engineering reports as crews continue their work on the Jamestown sanitary sewer project, residents and drivers are asked to be aware of the following closures that will take place starting Tuesday.
3rd Street SE will close from 9th Avenue SE to Railroad Drive E. A detour will be in place on Railroad Drive E and 7th Avenue NE.
12th Avenue SE will also close later Tuesday from 3rd Street SE to 5th Street SE. At this time, these closures are anticipated to be in place until later this week. A map and project updates are online at jamestownsewerproject.com

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Sept 13, 2013) – Interstate Engineering reports that starting early next week, (9-16-13) a section of 2nd St SW that crosses the James River will close. 2nd St SW is expected to close from 5th Ave SW to 3rd Ave SW – the street that runs on the south side of Historic Franklin School – update…starting Tuesday, September 17. The bridge over the James River will be closed as well during this time.
A detour will be in place on 1st St SW. Work is expected to last for about two weeks. Drivers can continue to access CSi Technology Center at Historic Franklin by using the east enterance from 3rd Ave SW.
Drivers are also advised that starting next week, crews will be working in the area of 17th St SE and 19th Ave SE. The intersection will remain open during this time. Work is expected to last for about one week.

Interstate Engineering reports that visitors needing wheelchair access to the Jamestown Business Center should use the east entrance and park in the east parking lot until the end of next week.

News Sept 11, 2013) – Interstate Engineering reports that a section of 3rd Avenue NE near Lincoln Elementary School is expected to close Thursday (Sept 12, 2013) as part of the Jamestown sanitary sewer project. Starting Thursday afternoon, 3rd Avenue NE will close from 6th St NE to 7th St NE.

News 9-9-13 – With the Jamestown Sanitary Sewer Project, Interstate Engineering reports, a closure currently in place as part of the Jamestown sanitary sewer project has been extended. The closure in place on 2nd Ave NE from 4th St NE through the intersection of 6th St NE has been extended to 7th St NE.
Work is expected to last for about two weeks.

Hournbuckle says, everything that’s under asphalt is expected to be finished by Oct. 15, 2013.
He says the asphalt is much more time and weather-sensitive.
The entire project should be completed by November 15, 2013.

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Sept 6, 2013) – Interstate Engineering asks that drivers and residents be aware of the additional closures on 2nd Ave NE that will take place over the weekend and next week as part of the Jamestown sanitary sewer project.
Starting Saturday September 7, 2013, the closure currently in place on 2nd Ave NE from 4th St NE to 6th St NE will be extended to include the intersection of 2nd Ave NE and 6th St NE.
In addition, on Monday, September 9, 2013 2nd Ave NE, near the Civic Center parking lot, will close from 2nd St NE to 1st St E. The railroad crossing will be closed as well during this time.
At this time, it is anticipated that this area will be closed for about two weeks.
The Civic Center and Civic Center parking lot can be accessed from the northeast via 4th Ave NE and 3rd St NE.
It was also announced late Friday that 3rd Street SE has been closed at the intersection of 12th Ave SE, near the railroad tracks. A detour is in place on Railroad Drive E and 7th Ave NE.
At this time, this closure and detour are anticipated to be in place for about a week.
