Jamestown, ND – A three inch rainfall above the reservoirs has increased inflows to both Jamestown and Pipestem dams. To manage the storage as prescribed in the Water Control Manual, combined releases are being increased to 1,300 cfs this week. Pipestem increased from 300 cfs to 400 cfs late this afternoon. Jamestown will increase 100 cfs to 800 cfs Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm after the City of Jamestown has prepared the storm sewer system. Jamestown will increase another 100 cfs to 900 cfs Wednesday afternoon. As of Wednesday afternoon releases will be 1,300 cfs.
We will monitor reservoir inflows this week along with the rain forecasts. he most probable peak combined release range is 1,300-1,600 cfs.
