John D. Corell was born January 15, 1975 to John and Brenda (Carlson) Corell. John D. or Jr. grew up on the farm riding motorcycle and go carts. He loved to help dad and Grandpa Carlson in the field, learning to drive tractor and combine as a very young age. Jr started racing at 16 and loved doing that for many years. He attended Washington Elementary and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1994. While in school he was a member and officer in the Jamestown Chapter of FFA. After graduation, Jr farmed, did custom combining, custom haying and drove semi. He was never scared of getting dirty or working hard. Jr had a very fun side and loved pulling pranks and jokes on people, which made for a lot of memories. He had a big heart and would try to help anyone he could. Jr loved to tell stories of his racing days and all the friendships he made during those cherished times.
John Jr’s most recent venture in life was to purchase a semi-truck owned by Tony Stewart. He was so proud of this truck and story behind it. After the purchase, he made some modifications and set to the road hauling large, heavy loads while making friends, laughs and memories all over the country.
