CSi – On Friday October 27 at 2:54am, a Jamestown Sanitation worker alerted the residents of 405 7th Ave SE to a fire. The Jamestown Fire Department arrived on scene at 3:06am and had control of the fire by 4:20am.
The stand alone garage was totally burned to the ground as the JFD arrived. JFD saw the fire was spreading to the house. The house had significant damage.
Jamestown police alerted a neighbor to evaluate due to a North wind blowing the fire their way.
The occupants of the house, 2 adults and 3 children, were safely evacuated with one the family members being transported to JRMC.
Jamestown Fire department had 6 units and 18 fire fighter on scene. JFD cleared the scene by 6am.
The fire is under investigation.
