Chamber – Executive Director Emily Bivens has been honored with a 40 Under 40 Honoree through Prairie Business, which profiles young professionals in the region under the age of 40. The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce this.
Honorees are entrepreneurs, industry experts, executives, and nonprofit leaders; they are business owners, patent holders, government officers and community trendsetters.
“The professionals listed every year come from a wide range of industries and have made significant impacts in their chosen professions and communities,” Prairie Business states. “This year’s 40 Under 40 honorees are high-caliber professionals from a variety of industries who are making significant impacts in their professions and communities.”
Emily Bivens has served as the executive director of the chamber since 2018. In that time, she has increased membership, benefits, and continues to find ways to enhance the community for better visitor experience and possible workforce recruits. In 2022, she oversaw the process to combine the chamber with Jamestown Tourism and now serves as executive director of both 501c6 entities.
She also leads the Jamestown DMV as part of the chamber, overseeing a six-member staff.
“I am honored to have received this recognition,” Bivens stated. “To be listed among 39 other young professionals who have been nominated for their work in their respective fields is a distinction I will proudly display. I look forward to continuing my service of community and represent our members to the best of my ability.”
Bivens also serves in other ways that include the Jamestown Downtown Association, Child in our Hands Daycare, and Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corps.
She lives in Jamestown with her husband Jason and her three children.
