Nancy Jean Dahl, loving and devoted spouse, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant died on January 2, 2024.  She is preceded in death by her husbands, Wesley Koll and George Dahl, and father, James Madsen.  She is survived by her children Joe (Cara), Suzanna, Hans (Katie), Angie, Stephen (Maggie), and Jon (Lisa) and her sisters Mary (Doug) Caskey, Kathy (Scott) King, Jeanne (Bob) Schultz, and sisters-in-law Sharon Englestad and Becky (David) Hunter.  Nancy loved her grandkids: Palmer, Baby Koll due in April, Lars, Joren, Finley, Oliver, Jonathan, Lucy, and Abram and loved spending time with her family.

Nancy was born in Jamestown, ND on March 4, 1959, to James and Angela (Cysewski) Madsen. She went to elementary school at St. John’s Academy and High School at Jamestown, where she graduated in 1977.  She attended Moorhead State University to become a teacher and graduated in 1981. Nancy was married to Wesley Koll on June 19, 1987.  Wes died on July 16, 1995.  Nancy lived her life focused on that which she found most important, God, her relationship with Jesus, her family, her friends, and teaching.  Nancy married George Dahl on August 12, 2000.  Together, they loved to welcome family and friends into their home. Their marriage was grounded in a deep love for the Lord. Throughout her life, she taught for 29 years and shared her love for learning with children in schools in Jamestown, Wimbledon, and Fergus Falls, MN.

The family would like to thank the Jamestown Regional Medical Center Cancer Center, Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice and Eventide for the care they provided to Nancy and her family.

Memorial Service – 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Victory Lutheran Brethren in Jamestown, ND.  Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.

Prayer Service – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2023 at the church.

Nancy will be buried at Calvary in Jamestown at a later date.
