VALLEY CITY, N.D. – NDHP The Expedition reversed northbound from being parked facing south along the roadway. The Expedition traveled in a counter-clockwise arc striking two parked and unattended vehicles. It continued onto a sidewalk north of the roadway, striking the pedestrian. The Expedition
continued its trajectory, striking another parked and unattended vehicle in a parking lot south of the roadway before coming to final rest facing west after striking an office/apartment
building.

The pedestrian sustained life threatening injuries and was transported from the scene to
Mercy Hospital by Barnes County Ambulance before being flown to Fargo by Sanford AirMed.
No occupants inside the building were injured. All vehicles involved sustained moderate
damage. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

(KFGO) – An 83-year-old Valley City woman walking on a city sidewalk was seriously injured after she was struck by a vehicle Sunday about 3 p.m.

The state patrol says the 85-year-old driver struck two parked vehicles, went onto the sidewalk, and then struck the woman.
The driver continued, striking another parked vehicle in a parking lot south of the roadway before coming to rest after striking an office apartment building.

The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported from the scene to Mercy Hospital by Barnes County ambulance before she was flown to Fargo by Sanford Airmed.

No occupants inside the building were injured.
