Jamestown – The Jamestown Parks & Recreation District is excited to announce the launch of its community-wide survey to assist in the development of its Comprehensive Master Plan. This initiative aims to gather invaluable input from residents to help determine the community’s needs and priorities, ultimately shaping the future of Jamestown’s park system.

The survey opens on March 11, 2024, and will remain open for a month, concluding at 11:45pm on April 11, 2024. Residents of Jamestown are encouraged to participate and have their voices heard in this critical planning process.

The community-wide survey seeks to gather insights on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to desired amenities and facilities within the parks, community vision for their park system, maintenance and upkeep preferences, accessibility and inclusivity considerations, and programming and events suggestions.

Community input obtained through this survey will play a pivotal role in guiding the Jamestown Parks & Recreation District in developing strategies and initiatives to enhance the park system for the benefit of all residents.

“We believe that parks are at the heart of our community, serving as vibrant spaces for recreation, relaxation, and social interaction,” said Amy Walters, Executive Director of Jamestown Parks & Recreation District. “By participating in this survey, residents have the opportunity to shape the future of our parks and ensure they reflect the diverse needs and interests of our community.”

The survey is accessible online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/JPRD-Survey, making it convenient for residents to participate from the comfort of their homes. The survey is administered by our project consultant, Interstate Engineering. All responses collected will be kept confidential, used solely for the purpose of informing the Comprehensive Master Plan, and no single response will be attributed to any individual.

The Jamestown Parks & Recreation District values the input of every resident and encourages widespread participation to ensure the plan accurately reflects the community’s aspirations.
