GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Sophomore Jerall Yasin has been named one of the six members to represent Singapore in the 2024 Davis Cup, as announced by the nation.

For the second straight year, Yasin will compete with his home nation of Singapore in the Asia/Oceania Group III after earning a promotion from Group IV in 2023.

The competition runs from June 10-15 in Amman, Jordan and will feature two pools of five nations each. The winners of each pool will automatically be promoted to the World Group II Playoffs in February 2025 and will be joined by the winner of a promotion playoff between the two teams finishing second in each pool.

In last year’s event, Singapore earned promotion after finishing second in their group with a 2-1 record in round robin play before defeating Kuwait in a playoff. Yasin notched a pair of doubles victories during the competition and did not see any singles action.

Singapore will open the tournament against Indonesia on June 11 and are featured in a group with Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
