CASS COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO) – Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a shooting in rural Cass County late Wednesday night.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says shortly after 11:30 p.m. authorities responded to a report that a man called 911 and told Red River Dispatch Center that he had been shot.
After some confusion about the victim’s location, law enforcement was able to locate the man on County Road 81, near County Road 16, at the KFGO property where the three radio towers and several company buildings are located.
Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner, on the scene, told KFGO News that the victim was found outside one of the buildings. He had walked to the property but Jahner couldn’t comment on where the shooting took place, The victim was flown by Sanford AirMed to a Fargo Hospital. He was conscious and was able to provide brief details about the shooting. Jahner says the victim’s injuries are critical.
There were others involved but Jahner says at this time investigators don’t know how many there were. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing
