Jamestown – The Jamestown Community Foundation has recently awarded a $1,500 grant to the Jamestown Cooperative Farmers’ Market Association to assist them in implementing their EBT/SNAP program for all eligible citizens, along with a “double your money” bonus for the first $10 those clients spend using their EBT cards. Those gift cards will be good for anytime during the 2024 market season. The Farmers Market has been a fixture at the Jamestown Civic Center parking lot in the summer/fall of each year, on Wednesdays (5-7 pm) and Saturdays (9 am – noon ). There are 11 area vendors who set up during each growing season. Their array of merchandise has expanded over the years, now including fresh produce, grass-fed beef products, baked goods, jams and jellies, honey, fresh cut flowers, breads, bagels and mushrooms! It’s always a good idea to shop early, as all of this merchandise is very popular.
