NDHP – The Peterbilt truck was eastbound on I-94 when the truck was driven off the road into the
south ditch. The truck overturned onto the passenger side facing east.
The driver, Joshua, was treated on scene by the Barnes County Ambulance and not
transported. Joshua sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The semi was loaded with 77 head of cattle. Initial report of six dead calves with further evaluations to be completed. First responders set up traffic control in the eastbound lanes. Lanes were reduced to one lane for six hours while crews worked to trailer the remaining cattle and remove the semi.
The Stockman’s Association is still searching for one missing calf. The public is asked to call
Barnes County dispatch or the Stockman’s Association if a black 700lbs calf is located.
