PD – The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a new high risk sex offender who is residing within the city of Jamestown.

52 years of age, Leslie James Klamm, lives at 931 Western Park Village Jamestown ND, 58401.

Klamm is American Indian, 6 feet tall, weighing 205 pounds, and has Brown eyes and Brown hair.

Mr. Klamm has been assigned a High risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.

Offense: Gross Sexual Imposition – An 18-year-old girl woke up to find Klamm standing naked in her bedroom.  When she tried to run for the door, Klamm strangled her and stabbed her in the back with a knife.  While raping the girl, Klamm asked her how it felt to know she was going to die.   

Conviction Date: 03/12/1998 in Cass County District Court, ND. 

Disposition:  15 years; first serve 10 years; 5 years suspended; 173 days credit; 5 years supervised probation.

Klamm is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court.  This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender.  Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
