JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Jamestown childcare provider was arrested on suspicion of child abuse involving a child under 6-years-old.
Jamestown Police say on Friday (May 9) they competed their investigation after a report on April 29th that a 6-month-old child suffered a spiral fracture of the arm while under the care of an unlicensed childcare provider.
Friday evening, a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence and evidence related to the initially reported crimes was seized.
Deborah E Jespersen of Jamestown, 55, was arrested on a felony child abuse charge. Police say she is also charged with providing early childhood services after having a license revoked.
She is being held in the Stutsman County Correctional Center pending formal charges from the Stutsman County State’s Attorney.
