Jamestown (Chamber) – Members of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee presented the June Customer Service Award to Hugo’s Family Marketplace in honor of the late John Risbrudt, recognizing his outstanding commitment to customer service.
John was nominated before his recent passing, and the Chamber felt it was important to move forward with the award to celebrate the kindness and professionalism he brought to his work. His actions left a lasting impression on customers and the community alike.
His nomination read:
“I was in line to check out at Hugo’s when I witnessed John checking out a gentleman in a power scooter who was elderly. There wasn’t a person bagging groceries, so once John was done scanning items and bagging, he went the extra mile to then put the bags of items into the customer’s basket on his scooter. The elderly person tried to stand up and get the bags before John did, but John was quick to say, ‘Don’t worry, I will get them. You just relax!’ The elderly man was quite unsteady and I’m so glad John was willing to help him out and avoid any sort of incident. John provided excellent customer service! He is always friendly and helpful.”
The award was presented to John’s wife and leadership at Hugo’s Family Marketplace as a tribute to John’s care and customer focus.
The Chamber honors individuals who consistently go above and beyond to deliver service that meets and exceeds expectations.
Customer Service Award nomination forms are available at the Chamber office and on their website at JamestownChamber.com or by calling 701-252-4830.
