Jamestown, ND – The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and TiZack Concrete Inc. will begin a two-phase highway improvement project on US Highway 52/281 from 37th Street SE to 17th Street SW in Jamestown starting Monday, June 23, with anticipated completion by Friday, September 5th, weather permitting. Work will involve Concrete Pavement Repair (CPR), ADA improvements, and signal replacement.

Project Overview
Phase 1: June 23 – July 15
Work will focus on the inside lanes (median side) and left-turn lanes of US 52/281.
These lanes will be closed during this phase.
• A 7-day closure will occur at the beginning of this phase for CPR work on the I94 westbound off-ramp and eastbound on-ramp at Exit 258.
• During this ramp closure, detour routes will be posted.

Phase 2: July 15 – September 5
Work will shift to the outside lanes and right-turn lanes of US 52/281.
• ADA ramp improvements and traffic signal replacement on 17th St SW will
take place.
• A 7-day closure will occur at the beginning of this phase for CPR work on the I94 westbound on-ramp and eastbound off-ramp at Exit 258.

Traffic Impacts and Detour Routes

• During Phase 1, I-94 westbound motorists will need to use Exit 256 as a detour to turn around and access US 52/281 via Exit 258.
• US 52/281 northbound and southbound traffic wanting to enter eastbound I94 will also need to travel west on I-94 to Exit 256, then turn around to go east.
• During Phase 2, I-94 eastbound motorists will use Exit 260 to turn around and access US 52/281 via Exit 258.
• US 52/281 northbound and southbound traffic wanting to enter westbound I94 will need to travel east on I-94 to Exit 260, then turn around to go west.

Traffic control devices, signage, and flaggers will be in place to guide motorists safely through the construction zones. Drivers are urged to slow down, follow posted signs, and use caution in work zones for the safety of all.
