Valley City is gearing up for its first ever Sheyenne River clean up event, inviting community members to help keep the river clean. The event will take place on Sunday, Sept 21, from 1pm to 3pm at Chautauqua Park in Valley City.
Volunteers are encouraged to grab their watercraft or walk along the riverbanks to collect debris and contribute to the health of the Sheyenne River. Organizers are excited to bring residents together for a cause that benefits both the environment and the community.
To show appreciation for participants’ efforts, treats and door prizes will be available for all volunteers.
Registration is required and can be completed on-site at Chautauqua Park. For more information, email info@developvcbc.com or call 701-490-9012.
This event is made possible thanks to the support of local donors including Insure Forward, Valley City Eagles Aerie 2192, the Valley City Beautification Committee, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Paul District.
Organizers hope to make the Sheyenne River Clean-Up an annual tradition to keep the river healthy and the community engaged in environmental stewardship.
