UJ – The University of Jamestown Shooting Sports team delivered an impressive performance at last Saturday’s North Dakota Collegiate Championship, earning second place overall in the team singles competition and posting strong individual results across multiple events. Seven schools and more than 80 competitors participated in the championship. In Men’s Singles, a four-way tie at 98/100 led to an intense shoot-off. James Meyer emerged victorious, securing first place, while Luke Sieben claimed third. The Women’s Singles event featured a three-way tie for third place at 93/100. Alecia Akers advanced to the shoot-off, where she earned second place in the shoot-off and fourth place overall.
The team’s success continued in doubles competition. William Wanzek took second place in Men’s Doubles with a score of 44/50. In Women’s Doubles, Alecia Akers posted a 38/50 to finish second, followed closely by Lisa McMullen in third place with a 37/50. A big thank you to the BSC Clay Dusters and Capital City Gun Club for hosting a well-organized tournament and providing a top-notch venue for competition.
