Jamestown (NDSU) – Senior Jacob Knodle led the North Dakota State men’s cross country team to a second-place finish at the Jimmie Invitational hosted by Jamestown on Friday morning.
Knodle placed third overall, completing the eight-kilometer race in a personal-best 24:51.8 at Parkhurst Campground. The Bison men finished with 46 points for runner-up honors behind North Dakota.
Sophomore Ethan Moe was the No. 2 finisher for NDSU, taking sixth overall in 25:04.3, and junior Will Gerber placed ninth with a time of 25:06.0. Sophomore Ivan Askim was 11th in 25:16.0, and Carl Rekow completed the team scoring for the Bison in 19th place with a time of 25:37.1.
Unattached Bison Brady Goss clocked 25:14.2 to take 10th place overall.
The Bison men will race next at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill., on Oct. 17.
