Jamestown (UJ) – This week brought highs and lows for UJ Esports. On Monday, JV Overwatch fell to Benedict College, Varsity Rocket League battled Wartburg College to a game-seven overtime but came up short, and Varsity Overwatch was swept by Florida Tech.
Tuesday saw JV Rocket League drop their series to Ferris State, while Rainbow Six made a dominant debut against Auburn, highlighted by freshman Holdyn “Illusion88” Jacobson securing an ace.
On Wednesday, UJ CoD swept Northeast State to move to 2-1, while Smash geared up for their next match. Thursday ended in a narrow 0-2 loss for UJ Smash against Wichita State JV.
Finally, on Friday, UJ CS opened their season against Cincinnati, showing strong early rounds but ultimately falling 0-2. Overall, Rainbow Six and CoD delivered convincing wins, while Rocket League, Overwatch, Smash, and CS will look to rebound in their upcoming matchups.
