Jamestown – The Region VI Interagency Transition Team will host Hands-On Transition and Career Fair on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Jamestown Civic Center. The event is held every other year to promote career exploration for high school students in grades 9–12 who are planning to pursue two years or less of post-secondary training or education.

The fair connects students with a variety of vendors, including two-year colleges, skilled training centers, agencies that support career development, and local businesses offering employment opportunities that require two years or less of post-secondary training. Each vendor sponsors a hands-on booth, allowing students to interact with a skill related to the career the vendor represents.

In 2023, approximately 1,000 students from 25 area schools attended the event, exploring pathways in trades, technical programs, and other career-focused fields. Forty vendors participated, providing students with a dynamic, interactive learning experience.
