Valley City ND – Valley City Parks and Rec is helping residents get moving before the Thanksgiving feast with the return of the annual Turkey Duathlon on Tuesday, November 25. The fun and fitness-focused event invites participants to bike 8 miles and then run or walk 1 mile, offering a great way to kick off the holiday week with energy and community spirit.
The duathlon begins at 6:00 pm and will take place starting from the Gaukler Family Wellness Center. Open to all fitness levels, the event encourages families, friends, and individuals to come out, enjoy the crisp fall air, and challenge themselves at their own pace.
Registration is $10, and all participants will receive a free VCPR bag. Those interested can sign up ahead of time at vcparks.com, at the front desk, or even on the day of the event.
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the Turkey Duathlon is a perfect way to build up an appetite, enjoy a healthy evening activity, and connect with the community before the big holiday meal.
