Congratulations to Valley City’s newest police officer, Officer Georgia Mageo.

Officer Mageo was officially sworn in on January 6, 2026, by Mayor Dave Carlsrud, with family members, fellow officers, and city commissioners in attendance. Adding to the significance of the ceremony, Officer Mageo’s father had the honor of pinning her badge.
