Madonna Newbury, age 89, of Valley City, ND, died Monday, January 19th at SMP Health-St. Raphael in Valley City.  A private family inurnment will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Moorhead, MN in the spring.

Madonna is survived by her sons Darrell (Gail) Fargo, ND, Ed (Cindy) Grove City, Ohio, and Danny, Kindred, ND; grandchildren, great grandchildren and her special companion puppy, Daisy.  Preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Leona Rettig, husband Edward, and sons Timothy and Michael.

Donna enjoyed crocheting and her work as an aid at Bethany in Fargo and most recently at SMP-St. Raphael in Valley City.  When Donna moved to nursing care, her friends and co-workers became her caretakers, making the transition so much easier for Donna.  The Newbury family extends their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at SMP-St.  Raphael for the loving care they provided.  To honor Donna’s memory, please donate to your local Hospice or send donations to SMP Health -St. Raphael in Valley City, ND.
