Jamestown ND (JRMC) – Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) recently announced Tracy Wolk, a registered nurse in its Surgery Center, as its latest Legend Award recipient — the medical center’s highest employee honor.

The Legend Award recognizes JRMC team members who exceed expectations and whose work leaves a lasting, meaningful impact. Like the rings of a tree, each action taken in compassion, courage and commitment contributes to a legacy that endures.

Wolk was nominated by her colleague Wendi Alvarado, who praised her tireless work ethic and leadership within the surgery department.

“Tracy is a go-getter and never stops moving in the surgery department,” said Alvarado. “If you want to keep a room on time, Tracy will do everything in her power to make sure the day goes smoothly.”

As lead nurse, Wolk plays a critical role in ensuring surgical services operate efficiently and safely. From coordinating workflows to stepping in wherever help is needed, she is known for her reliability, attention to detail and willingness to support her team at every turn.

Beyond her operational expertise, Wolk is widely recognized for the calm, reassuring presence she brings to patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.

“I have seen Tracy hold a nervous patient and comfort them during a spinal, pray with a patient and make them laugh even when they don’t want to,” Alvarado said. “She is a force, but in the best way.”

Wolk’s dedication reflects JRMC’s mission to make a difference in the lives of both patients and employees.
